Error while exporting matrix report to Excel

hi,
can any one help me out how to export a matrix report in to excel file? I tried in the following way:
in report builder After parameter i hav specified the appropriate path and all

when i click the link in otm front screen excel file is getting opened but showing error

"FILE cant be read"

Please help me out...............
