Rep Power: 0 | | | Fusion Transportation Intelligence Hi all- Does anyone have an insight into the OBIEE (Oracle Buisness Intelligence Enterprise Edition) tool also known as FTI (Fusion Transportation Intelligence)? I'm trying to find a developers viewpoint into the installation, integration of this tool. Feel free to email me! Eric Bauchwitz |

Rep Power: 3 | | | Re: Fusion Transportation Intelligence Eric, I can tell you the admin guide is very incomplete on the installation of this. It took me about 2 weeks to get it installed and the 4 pages in the admin guide turned out to be 21 pages after I documented it. Apache and Tomcat need to be installed separately and opened to the internet just for OBI and there is no configuration provided in the admin guide to do this. You can contact Oracle support on this or PM me and we can discuss options with you. Thanks, Nick |

Rep Power: 3 | | | Re: Fusion Transportation Intelligence Hi Eric,
1.OBIEE can be easily installed with the help of OBIEE Manual.
2.Once OBIEE is installed run the scripts of FTI as mentioned in administration guide for integration to OTM.
3.Enable the agents of FTI as DBA.
The most important thing that needs to keep in mind that OTM CU4 is the best fitment for Installing and integrating FTI application.CU3 as lots of issues with FTI. |

Rep Power: 3 | | Re: Fusion Transportation Intelligence Surender, As I mentioned in my earlier email the admin guide does not have all of the steps necessary to complete the install. The first OTM database script that you need to run has a bug in it and needs to be modified before it will execute correctly. Also the guide doesn't mention how to setup the tomcat server.xml file, install Apache, and a OBI script is missing on creating a few tablespaces. Nick |

Rep Power: 3 | | | Re: Fusion Transportation Intelligence Hi,
I agree with you that first we need to run OTM database script to bug it and administration guide is not sufficient for installing FTI application.when we installed FTI application it's took around 10 days, after a lots of struggle and help from google/metalink.
Also lot of table spaces are missing its true. |

Thanks in advance...
