Re: No_user_access

Hi Yuga,

Please Check whether you have any restrictions imposed on screen set access, through "User Configuration".
This looks like a typical access constraint.

Re: No_user_access

Though it sounds to be an access issue but when i try the same step for the second or third time ,it works.

Even the server bounce did not help?

Re: No_user_access

Hi Yuga,
Even though it sounds like access issue there is a fluctuation between the server communication. This issue occurs when the configured objects are not properly saved in the server.
To be more clear:
Assume there are two servers. when you search, a request is raised to any one of the server (server A) and it fetches the result. when you try once again it will not fetch (server B). This issue i faced earlier. In this case just log into one server using IP address and edit user configuration related objects and finish. Follow the same for the second server and it will surely work.

Thanks,
neoandr

Re: No_user_access

Hi Neo,
thanks for replying. Actually whatever you said that makes complete sense to me. I did not understand the the resolution you suggested. You said
"In this case just log into one server using IP address and edit user configuration related objects and finish. Follow the same for the second server and it will surely work."
Can you please elaborate a bit more? Thanks again for your help.

Yuga

Re: No_user_access

Do you have 2 web servers and are getting this issue? You need to set you LB so that the cookie sessions are persistent.

Re: No_user_access

Hi Nick,
We have put down one WB and tried . We still get this NO_USER_ACCESS error. We also tried by logging in with the IP addr. No Luck.

Thanks,
Yuga

Re: No_user_access

Hi Yugandhar,

I did face this issue in one of our development environment where the point Neo mentioned did happen. My scenario was we had some GL Levels associated to User Role, and this user role was having some set of User menu's attached and this user role was attached to a specific user. So this user when you goes to any associated menu link he would receive this NO_USER_ACCESS issue.

Well tried a lot, finally I deleted all the objects i.e. GL_LEVEL, USER ROLE, and user too and recreated them and reassociated each other and it resolved the issue. Please note that I didn't delete or edit the menu and its associated screensets. So you need to check with GL_LEVEL, USER ROLE and USER.

Regards,
Suresh

Re: No_user_access

Yuga,
I have not looked into the forum for quite long time. Just now saw ur message.

Generally even though we access applications with singe URL, it will be mapped with more than one server (if system has more than one). I hope u know that application can be accessed via IP address which provides access, only to that server.

Whenever i faced this problem, i used to access the application using IP address (in my case 2 servers) and then edit screen sets and finish it. (in both servers)

If its still not working, we will restart those servers and try after some 10 mins ( dont ask me why after 10 mins, simply we wait )

After that it always used to work fine. If those steps did not work, then i would have tried by deleting and then configure it from the scratch. ( which is my 3rd option)

Thanks,
-neoandr
