Setting up an AUDIT TRAIL

Does anyone have a quick document to set-up an audit trail? I have made an attempt at following the HELP but am having no luck. If someone can get me started it would be great.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thre is a small setup which need to be changed by YOUR dba.

fficeffice" />>>

In the file glog.base.property the following stmt should be glog.audit.beforeafter=on>>

Once its set to On audit trail works

Re: Setting up an AUDIT TRAIL

Just a quick note - if you use the "quote" or "code" buttons to format your response, you won't get the funky smiley faces

Also - the property "glog.audit.beforeafter=on" should be added to the Custom Properties section of your glog.properties file (it'll override the glog.base.properties file). This ensures that OTM patches don't revert your change.

Re: Setting up an AUDIT TRAIL

1. First create a contact named AUD. For the comm method - pick a rank of 1 and AUD.

2. Then, Go to Business Process Automation --> Communication Management --> Contact Notification

3. Search for an Action you want to be modified. For this example, let's search for ORDER - MODIFIED as it
is a good action to audit.

4. Click to Edit the Action

5. Under Contact ID field, put AUD. Under communication method, also choose AUD. Click Saved, Then
finish

6. Now, every time a order is modified, it will get logged to the audit table.

7. ORDER - REMOVED, SHIPMENT - REMOVED, ORDER - CREATED AND SHIPMENT - CREATED are a couple other good actions to monitor. Just don't get
