VPD profiles using Corporation

Hi,

Has any one used VPD profiles using the Corporation as a filter criterion in External Predicates. If so, Could you please provide me some info on how you have done this. I have tried to use Location_corporation table but that table is not able to constrain the records of Location based upon Corporation.

Second point, will I have to define Corporation as a predicate in all the tables(e.g. orders,Shipments) whereever I want to filter based upon corporation?

regards
Vipin

Re: VPD profiles using Corporation

Hi,

I have used the corporation vpd before. This is what I have done:

Set the corporation gid as the vpd context.

To filter the shipments based on the corporation, select the shipments where the source or destination location of the shipments that belong to the corporation that is set as the context.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me if this is not clear and you need more details.

Cheers,
Shekhar

Re: VPD profiles using Corporation

Hi Shekhar,

Can you let me know after setting the filter how the related shipment's visibility was set. If a shipment has source location as different from the filter set then I can't view it from the login because of the filter. Can a related shipment view option be set here?

regards
