If you're able to access the forums, but unable to download files; it's because your user account is still awaiting email verification. There are several reasons for this - typos in the email address, spam filters, etc.

Just send me an email, so that I can ensure that it matches the email address on your account and will manually verify your user.

Once that is complete - you'll be able to download attachments to your heart's content
