OTM implementation steps, Parcel Manifest and Vastera

We are in the process of formulating an OTM implementation plan for a manufacturing setup.(12 locations worldwide)

Can anybody share the OTM implementation plan - how one should go about implementing OTM.

I understand that OTM will plan as per the setup / Transportation network planning one would do (setting up lanes, itinerary
) before one embarks on the implementation plan.

Like taking out the historical shipments (inbound/outbound data), current customers / suppliers and geographically spread them and see the movement volumes (frequency, wt and vol).

Once this is done - one can articulate the lanes, map them and form itnineraries and also see LTL, TL or any mode which will serve that lane.

This is what I see before starting on a implementation plan.

Can anybody help share a actual work list / checklist which should go in the implementation plan for OTM.

Another issue:
The company has close to 60 % parcel shipments and they would like to move to other modes. I understand that parcel is not supported by OTM - like it lacks end of day manifest process and would have to intergrate with Kewill clippership and so on.

The client has Fedex and UPS server at their premises and they use it for end of day manifest process. Can they continue to use them or will resort to Kewill clippership.

Also they have Vastera for their international shipment documentation. Does OTM integrate with Global trade management Vastera and can anybody share the plan / touch points.

Will continue writing and answering queries.

Thx for your time.

Thx and rgds,
Pankaj

Hi Pankajkum,

Did you receive any replies to your post? I am looking for similar information regarding implementation plan, recommendations, etc.

I see you posted in January ... How are you getting on with the project now?

Regards,
Sam.
