OTM Functional long term consulting opportunity

Our client has an immediate need for a OTM Functional Consultant (Business )analyst). The location is Atlanta, GA and the project will last 18 months to up to 3 years. Our client is a Fortune 500 company and is undergoing a massive OTM implimentation. Below is a job description. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


-Conducts business requirements reviews and formulates logical statements of business requirements.
-Analyzes marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services.
-Using system process analysis tools and methods, analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities to streamline and automate processes and functions; identifies/documents how applications/systems interact to support business processes.
-Develops selection evaluation criteria based on identified product requirements for tasks and process and/or prepares specifications from which programs will be written.
-Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating the communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
-Develops functional designs; identifies risks and benefits of alternate designs; calculates costs/benefits of potential actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI; assesses project impact of system changes on users and internal and external customers and stakeholders.
-Develops and coordinates software testing and debugging plans to ensure functionality and quality; creates detailed test plans and scripts based on functional requirements and executes test scripts using testing tools.
-Writes user documentation based on functional requirements.
-Leads others in functional design process.
-May provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less experienced business systems analysts.

REQUIRED COMPETANCY / SKILL SETS
-Knowledge of the development environment (SDLC)
-Fluent English and a working knowledge of German (desirable)
-Technical - Business Process Modeling, Object Orientation, Java/J2EE Environments and Security
-Methodological - Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) ( VModel 97 / VModel XT),
-Project Management (PMI, PMP)
-Experience with Best Practices Frameworks (CMMI, SPiCE, ITIL)
-Experience with the following Tools - MS Project, PlanView; ARIS, PowerDesigner; IRqA; Mercury Quality Center: Mercury Test Suite; Maven / Eclipse / Cruise Control; --CheckStyle / FindBugs / Clover / Metrics
-Knowledge of Logistics
-ability in structured programming
-ability to recognize dependencies
-ability to communicate with system analyst and system designer
-Change Management – Develops workable technical recommendations; -Communicates changes effectively
-Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Design technical solutions for work flows and procedures
-Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves complex business problems in a timely manner
-Project Management – Develops project subplans; Coordinates projects; Tracks risks, issues, costs.
-Judgment – Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions
-Presentation/Communication Skill – Speaks and writes clearly and persuasively
-Interpersonal Skills – Easily develops positive relationships across all levels in organization. Can create buy-in and lead effectively in positions without explicit authority.

TRAVEL

Limited travel to other Operations sites as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

ü May oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results.
ü May contribute to employees professional development.

ü Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.[/font]
ü Has extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in design & implementation. A thorough understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered[/font]
ü Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as expert in functional or business area within the company.
ü Deals with cross-cultural tactical issues
