Fleet and Asset management in OTM

Hi

Could someone let me know in which version of OTM is the Fleet and Asset management functionality being incorporated? In some documentation I read that it is happening in Version 6. Could someone tell me where can I find any material on the product features of OTMv6?

Thank you

Divya

Re: Fleet and Asset management in OTM

Divya,

The fleet and asset management features of OTM are being provided in version 6.0 and subsequent CUs. This functionality will leverage OTM, portions of EBS and Siebel to provide a comprehensive solution.

For the information that has been released, I encourage you to view the following presentation by Jim Mooney.

In addition, there will be a presentation by Oracle (and likely Jim) at the upcoming OTM SIG Users Conference in August -- I definitely encourage you to attend.

Re: Fleet and Asset management in OTM

Hi Divya,

I went through some Oracle Open World presentations some time back & it was mentioning the Fleet Management functionality proposed for ver 6.0 and Asset Management in their long term Road-map. I have just captured the relevant screenshots of the ppt and attached along with FY reference though the dates for the release is not yet declared officially.

Regards,
Naveen

Re: Fleet and Asset management in OTM

Divya,

PFA a slide that i found as presented by Oracle on Fleet Mgmt in OTM....

Yes as it has been stated Fleet Mgmt is a part of the inetended version 6.0 and hence the detailed documentation would be available only after the release

Oracle has said that fleet mgmt would be two fold, one being asset centric and the other being shipment centric.....

also this is being developed collaboratively with one of their presnet clinet... easy to guess who !!!

Hope this helps....

Rgds--
