Hi,

Has anybody used the warehouse flow management > Dock Appointment functionality in OTM and its integration with order management and warehouse management system. I do understand its for optimizing the loading and unloading of trucks at warehouses dock door.

Iam looking for benefits which can be achieved through OTM- WMS integration.

No, I haven't seen this used in the past. I do know that there were previously issues with the introduction of WMS into an OMS/OTM solution, as the old integration flows didn't respond well to orders getting re-sourced from different warehouses. I believe this is going to be resolved in the next revision of the integration flows, however.

Specifically to your question, though, I haven't seen any integration between WMS and the Dock scheduling in OTM - though it may come in OTM 6.0 where the Fleet Management feature set is getting built out.

Deloitte has done this and this can be done easily with EBS R12.1 and OTM 6.0 release

Both Deloite and ACCO have done this successfully with Manhattan and Redprairie
