Does OTM supports Japanese?

Hi,

We are working with a Japanese prospect for providing a Transportation
Solution where OTM is a very good fit. The only hitch is that all of
their users are working in Japanese and hence they require application
UI in Japanese. As per my understanding, Japanese is not supported by
OTM. Just wanted to check if any of you have ever worked with a Japanese
client for OTM implementation. How the OTM can support Japanese language
if at all? Thanks for your time.

Regards,

-Salil Sharma

Re: Does OTM supports Japanese?

Hi Salil,

I know for a fact that Japanese is supported in OTM versions 5.5 CU2 and
beyond. I have worked with the Oracle Sales Support Team in Asia as
they tested the Japanese UI.

Thanks,
Julie Poindexter

RE: Does OTM supports Japanese?

I want to add a bit of clarification to Julie's note. We delivered Japanese translations with R5.5 Cumulative Update (CU) 3 Roll Up (RU) 2. As Julie indicates, the basis for our translations was R5.5 CU 2. This means that changes (e.g. new UI labels) introduced since CU2 have not been translated.
