Setting up Capacity Constraints in 5.5

Has anyone had any success in setting up Capacity Constraints in 5.5. We went round and round with this in 5.0, only to find out it was not available until 5.5. I have tried setting them up, but have had no success. Everything keeps planning to just one Service Provider.

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,

RE: Setting up Capacity Constraints in 5.5

Christine,

We have successfully setup capacity constraints in 5.5 and what we've
essentially done is this:

1. Define a capacity group for each service provider
2. Define a capacity limit for that service provider and assign it to
that capacity group
3. Assign the capacity group to the rate offering for that service
provider

We had to use this for our live load carriers to limit the amount of
shipments they get each day but it has worked fine for us. Let me know if
this helps or if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,
