Rep Power: 0 | | | EBS OTM Integration ( Parcel UPS/FEDEX) Hi all,
I am in process on implementing OTM 5.5 CU4 RU1 with EBS 12.04 OM Shipping Execution. My question is - Can I route only TL and LTL orders to OTM
- Parcel (UPS/FED EX) orders will go through shipping execution process(since OTM does not have a very good way of rating those orders) and will rate through standard API interface between OM shipping execution and UPS/FED EX.
- I was going through the "Integrating Oracle Transportation Management with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12" and it mentions that if OTM is enabled then UPS Rate and Service is disabled, that means my second bullet point statement will not work and everything has to go/route through OTM and as far as I know rating the Parcel Orders(specially at package level ) through OTM is not a feasible solution.
Can anybody share the ideas and knowledge. any inputs will be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance |

You might want to attend tomorrow's OTM APAC SIG call at 12:00pm (SIN) (GMT + 0800). There will be a discussion about OTM / EBS integration with and Oracle representative. He may be able to help answer your question.
Head over to [ http://www.otmfaq.com/forums/f69/otm...1417/#post3967 (OTM SIG APAC Call 27/06/2008 12.00 pm (SIN) (GMT+8)) ] for more details. |

I'm not aware of a way to accomplish this with the stock integration. I'm sure it is possible utilizing custom integration, though -- it may just be a bit cumbersome getting the data out of EBS and into OTM since you won't want to use the stock mechanisms.

Thanks for the reply, I think it is possible not to route Parcel Orders through OTM instead you can interface shipping execution module through CLIPPERSHIP or any other vendor who supports multiple parcel carriers and route parcel orders. let me know your thoughts. |

Rep Power: 10 | | | Re: EBS OTM Integration ( Parcel UPS/FEDEX) I would agree with that. The two biggest vendors of Parcel solutions that I'm aware of are Kewill (Clippership) and Agile Networks. Both of these will integrate into EBS networks and there will also be more direct integrations with OTM v6.0.
