Rep Power: 2 | | | Installation of BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.0.2 Hi All,
We are planning to implement BPEL Process manager to integrate OTM with EBS on our Development Environment
I wanted some input with respect to configuration of BPEL process manager with OTM.
Well my current configuration is below -
- App/Web/Report/Database on one server (Development Environment)
- We have Weblogic 8.1.0 SP4 as our Application server.
- We have Oracle Application Server 10G Forms and Reports running for OTM Reports
- And we have the Database running of Oracle 10G.
Now while implementation of BPEL Process Manager, Do I need to install again the entire Oracle Application Server 10G again, or should I download the BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.0.2 for OC4J from Oracle BPEL Process Manager Downloads. and just do the installation and following the OTM Documentation. Do we have any simplified documentation of implementation/Integration of BPEL process Manager with OTM
I would appreciate your help in sharing the information on this topic.
Thanks,
Suresh |

You'll need to install a new instance of OAS to handle BPEL, since OTM only supports BPEL 10.1.3.3 going forward, so you will need an OAS instance with BPEL PM installed that matches up with this version/patch level.
I'm not aware of any public documentation for the setup/configuration of this server, other than the EBS/OTM integration overview provided by Oracle. The installation is straightforward, however, and is only a standard BPEL installation with the appropriate BPEL Jar files (suitcases) installed - as provided by Oracle's pre-packaged EBS/OTM integration patches. The real configuration occurs within the respective applications, rather than on the BPEL integration server.
Hope this helps!

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Installation of BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.0.2 Hi Chris,
Could you please provide me the link from where I can download the required OAS installer. I tried downloading the Oracle Application Server 10G with version 10.1.2.0.2, however that didn't have any component by name BPEL Process Manager even for version 10.1.2.0.2 even.
Could you please let me know the exact path to download.
Thanks,

Unfortunately, I can't provide direct download links, because of how Oracle's download sites work -- you have to access the sites and agree to licenses, etc. I can tell you that this is all available via http://edelivery.oracle.com, if you have a valid Oracle license. You can also try these out for development purposes by downloading from http://technet.oracle.com.
What you're looking for is the Oracle SOA Suite - which includes OAS, BPEL, ESB, etc.

As you said that OTM only supports BPEL 10.1.3.3, so can you please clarify if OTM 5.5 CU3 would be compatiable with 10.1.2.0.2 or requires 10.1.3.3 only.
Thanks,

OTM v5.5 CU3 may work with 10.1.2.0.2, but I haven't tried it. The latest info from Oracle is that they require BPEL 10.1.3.3 for full support. so I'd definitely recommend going down that route.
