Integrating OTM & Oracle Apps with BPEL PM 10g version

Hi,

I have installed following things...

OTM version 5.5 CU3
Oracle Apps Release 12
Oracle Application Server 10g
BPEL Process Manager version 10g (Oracle SOA suite)

In order to implement the OTM/Oracle Apps Integration, I have read that I need to apply few patches and need to deploy few BPEL processes to the process manager, but a note says that integration is supported only for BPEL process manager version 10.1.2.0.2

Is there a way out of integrating OTM using BPEl process manager 10g?

Thanks & Regards,
Naveen

Re: Integrating OTM & Oracle Apps with BPEL PM 10g version

Naveen,

You can use any middleware that you like to integrate with OTM -- the BPEL Process manager is only required for the pre-packaged Oracle EBS / OTM integration processes.

In fact, most clients using OTM are utilizing custom integration and only a few are integrating with EBS (most are other systems like home-grown, SAP, etc).

Here are some of the other integration middleware packages that I'm aware of (from another post - http://www.otmfaq.com/forums/f24/opi...n-engines-363/ (Opinions on Integration Engines?))

Proven, though expensive:
  • webMethods
  • Tibco
  • IBM MQ
Capable, but complex:
  • IBM WebSphere Integration Server
Reliable and less expensive:
  • HP Mercator
  • Sun SeeBeyond eGate
Inexpensive, though reported to have volume issues:
  • Microsoft BizTalk
Newer (capable) technologies, though unproven:
  • Oracle BPEL / Oracle ESB
  • Active Endpoints BPEL
Cheap, but limited capabilities:
  • OTM Python Scripts (included w/ OTM)
Hope this helps,
Chris

Hope this helps!
