Lightbulb [SOLVED] BPEL Process Manager - Infrastructure

Is it necessary that BPEL Process Manager be installed on same machine as Oracle APPS or OTM? What is your recommended approach ? We are going to use Oracle SOA technology (BPEL)?

Please let me know your thoughts and how you have implemented it.

Re: BPEL Process Manager - Infrastructure

No - it's not required to run on the same server as OTM or EBS. To be honest, it can conflict with each of these tiers, depending on how it's installed. Not to mention that it is heavy, when both the OAS Infrastructure (including DB) and and OAS OC4J (including BPEL) tiers are installed on one box.

In all of the installations we've done, we've either separated it onto a separate server, or have combined it with the OTM Reports server.

Hope this helps!
